I was hoping for a product that clamped firmly into the air vent. What I got was a device that clamps onto one of the louvers with two pincher hooks at the top. The bottom is just a pedestal that rest somewhere on the center column. My console didn’t provide any good place where this could securely rest. If you have a car with adjustable air vents (i.e. you have a car built after 1970 or so) this thing just dangles loosely and flops around like the tongue of the aforementioned canine. Also, each of the front grips comes with a removable extension that grips around the face of your device. If you think you might want to use these, NEVER remove them because once you do they will just fall off on their own. I wouldn’t trust this piece flimsy piece of @#$% to securely hold anything I spent more than a nickel on.
