I love my Garmin nüvi, but have always been frustrated by the suction cup mounted to the windshield. When the weather heats up, the suction cup no longer sticks, and the nüvi becomes a distracting projectile as it flies off the window. I looked at several different friction mounts, but decided to spring for this one. It is wonderfully hefty, which enables it to stay put on my dashboard. I’ve never been worried about anyone breaking into my car because they see the suction cup “ring” on the windshield, but this friction dashboard mount removes the temptation for any would-be criminals. Highly recommend this for anyone who has trouble with the suction cup mount or is simply looking for an alternative.

I purchased this item with my Garmin. It works wonderful on a dash and keeps the Garmin in place. It also makes it easy to place your Garmin out of view when not in use. No suction cup marks on the windshield. I would recommend this product.
