GARMIN 010-10747-03 12-Volt Adapter Cable

The Garmin 010-10747-03 12V Cigarette Lighter Adapter for the StreetPilot C510/C550 lets you rely on your car’s power when you need to use your StreetPilot C510 of C550.
Customer Review: good value
It works fine. Only hitch is that it does not have the built in traffic receiver. If you don’t pay to use the traffic alerts, then this charger is the one you want. Seems more well built and durable than the OEM charger too.
Customer Review: Great!
This is perfect for a replacement or as a second power cord to move from vehicle to vehicle. It is made by Garmin so you know it is going to work with no problems. I would recommend to anybody and I have had no problems. Also, as “Cake Lady” stated earlier in her review, it does not have the FM tuner built into the power plug as it does not state that it does. I do not know why somebody would think that it is a FM tuner/power cord when it states nothing about FM tuning abilities for the traffic allerts, but I guess it happens to people that do not read the description. Again, Great Product at a great price. Enjoy! Also, just fyi, the package states the following as I was not absolutely sure for what products it will work with…so, works with; nuvi 5000,800 series, 705T series, 700 series, 600 series (I have the 660), and zumo series. Again, that is per the package from Garmin.

Customer Review: tom tom review
I think it will work good. I just gave it to my dad and he hasn’t used it, but we have one and it’s a great device
Customer Review: Frustrating
I wanted to like this, I really did. Small, portable, PC/Mac compatible. It’s simply too slow… Takes forever to acquire GPS signals, maps are sluggish, route recalculations are way too slow, especially when you miss a turn and need immediate assistance. Software is full-featured, but buggy.

Customer Review: Looking for a map update….
Good luck trying to get an updated map for this product. I loved my unit when I first bought it, the size, features, etc. Now that it is 4 years old, it needs a map update. I can’t get one anywhere, even at Navigon’s site.
Customer Review: Do NOT Buy - MAP UPDATES NO LONGER AVAIL
I bought two of these units a year and a half ago for $99 each. They do work as advertised but the map data was out of date when they were new, and no map updates are available from Navigon. Navigon is leaving the US market completely (as of a statement in May 09) so choose your GPS product supplier carefully!

Garmin MapSource DVD for Garmin GPS Units, US Inland Lakes (010-10774-00)

Garmin 010-10774-00 MapSource Inland Lakes DVD You’ll have a great day on the water in store for you, when you use our U.S. Inland Lakes maps. From small, local lakes to large ones, this software contains highly detailed data for lakes of almost every size in the continental United States. With exceptional detail including amazing contour lines on most inland lakes plus high-definition shoreline, river and creek channels, islands, boat ramps, campgrounds, rivers, streams, tide stations and predictions, U.S. Coast Guard aids to navigation, a wrecks and obstructions database, and road data we’ve packed a lot of information onto our all-inclusive DVD or 5 preprogrammed cards. Inland Lakes cartography is available in three different formats, making it easy and convenient to load data to your compatible Garmin: MapSource DVD with coverage of the entire continental U.S., preprogrammed Garmin data cards, and preprogrammed microSD cards.
Customer Review: Garmin MapSource US Inland Lakes DVD
This lake software is great for me. This works on my Nuvi 780. I put an img file from my Topo 2008 on a SanDisk Ultra II 4 GB SDHC, and put the img file from this lake software on the Nuvi internal memory. Can’t have two img files in same location. Also if you put a Garmin gdb file on the internal memory or a SD card, Nuvi won’t see them. Need to use the MapSource program to create the image files (img). I have one topo and one lake image files saved in different folders on my computer; could make several different ones, and then just put whatever you need at the time into your Nuvi. I also bought a waterproof RAM case for my Nuvi for use in the boat next summer. The case has a flexable front, so you can still use the touch screen.
Customer Review: Am I the only one that thinks Inland Lakes is flawed?
I bought this software for my Garmin Etrex Vista HCx GPS mainly for use while kayaking in Minnesota and Wisconsin. After checking the maps of lakes that are among the more fully detailed, however, I find them not up to par for my mapping needs, and I don’t have the option of using another company’s map program with my Garmin GPS since the format is proprietary. I knew ahead of time that only about 8% of Minnesota’s 15,000 lakes were represented, and not all 1200 lakes included in the software were shown in great detail. I wasn’t happy about that, but at least I knew about it up front. The most glaring omissions in Inland Lakes is where the map fails to show connections between some lakes in a chain, such as where Lake Calhoun connects with Lake of the Isles via canal in Minneapolis, rivers that connect to lakes but not on the map, such as where the Sauk River connects to Kraus Lake near Cold Spring MN, and rivers that are missing sections on the map where in reality they are contiguous, like the Sauk River again, between Cold Spring and the Mississippi River. If you are exploring inland lakes and rivers with these maps in your GPS, you would likely also need other maps that fill in the gaps in the electronic map. To me, if Garmin is going to charge as much as they do for a map, the lakes and rivers they include should at least be accurate. If I get in trouble in the wilderness while kayaking, an accurate map is a must. At the very least it is expected. Paper maps have less errors. Because of these issues I am thinking of buying a Delorme PN-40 GPS which comes STANDARD with Topo USA including topographic, lake and street maps, and comes with a $100 credit toward their USGS Quad maps, aerial and satellite maps for about the same cost as my Garmin Vista HCx and one set of flawed optional maps. That way if one map isn’t 100% accurate, I can check another one to fill in the blanks, and I’m quite sure that between Delorme’s standard topographic and lake maps, I’ll be able to find more than 1200 lakes in Minnesota. I’ll have an even better chance of finding those hidden lakes with USGS Quad, aerial and satellite maps at my fingertips. So in summation, I’ve found Garmin’s Inland Lakes maps to be useful, but it’s not as precise as I need it to be. That’s too bad, because I like my Garmin Vista HCx GPS. Yet if I’d known about the flaws I found ahead of time, I never would have bought the maps or the GPS from Garmin. I’m still using the two for now, but I’ll be checking Google Maps or Google Earth first, before I leave on a trip.

Garmin Suction Cup Mount with 12-Volt Adapter for Nuvi 660 (010-10935-02)

Time to replace your suction cup. The Nuvi Suction Cup can be placed inside of the windshield of your car, so you can conveniently hold your Nuvi GPS.
Customer Review: Garmin 680 Mount & Power cord
Great Product, as good as the original. The only difference is that the plug in for the cord is longer than the origional so it sticks out a little futher.
Customer Review: So soon?
This is the same mount type that shipped with my Garmin nuvi when first purchased. It had been stolen from my car in a smash and grab. I was happy to finally replace it and not rely on the little towel set up that I came up with. Within a week the suction mount has ceased to…suck. Or rather, it does suck, but not in the way intended. It just keeps falling off after 3 min of press down. I do not keep it on when I leave the car so as to avoid another theft and excess heat. I am disappointed, but It has to be a “one off” defect as this model mount had worked well in the past. Back to the silly towel improvisation. I have not tried to return this item yet.
